State Department takes silencers for non-automatic guns off the U.S. Munitions List
Silencers, mufflers and suppressors for non-automatic and semi-automatic firearms leave the U.S. Munitions List, so their exports no longer fall under the State Department's arms export rules and move to Commerce Department controls. Suppressors built for fully automatic guns stay on the list.
